HISTORY
The Higgins Memorial Golf Tournament is a cherished tradition in Olean, NY, honoring the memory of Frank W. Higgins II. Established in 1972 to commemorate Higgins, the former President of the Exchange National Bank and past president of Bartlett Country Club, the original three-day scratch best ball invitational drew top players from New York and Pennsylvania. This event ran until 1980.

Revived in 2003 after the death of Frank W. Higgins III, the tournament returned as a one-day, two-person best ball event, open to players of all levels. In 2007, a Blind Draw Friday scramble was added, enhancing the tournament's appeal. The event now attracts participants from across the country.
Beyond being a showcase of golfing prowess, the tournament serves as a platform for raising funds for local causes and organizations. To date, the Higgins Memorial Golf Tournament has raised nearly $200,000 for local charities, making a significant impact on the community and continuing the philanthropic legacy of the Higgins family.
